This guide covers the remaining Surrey garden centre options across the west and south of the county, taking in Woking, Farnham, Dorking, Cranleigh, and Chessington. These five listings are spread across different parts of Surrey rather than forming one compact route — each serves a different town or area. The guide is designed to help you find the right option for your location or journey.

Woking

Squire’s Garden Centre in Woking is a full-service chain garden centre with a broad range of plants, garden supplies, a café, and seasonal ranges. It is the main dedicated garden centre option for Woking and the surrounding area. Check current opening hours before travelling, as these can vary by season.

Farnham and Badshot Lea

Squire’s Garden Centre at Badshot Lea serves the Farnham area. Like other Squire’s sites it offers a full-service garden centre experience with plants, garden accessories, a café, and seasonal ranges. It is the main dedicated garden centre option for Farnham and the surrounding south-west Surrey area. The site is located at Badshot Lea between Farnham and Aldershot.

Dorking

Hillier Garden Centre in Dorking is a full chain garden centre with a broad range of plants, seasonal ranges, and a café. It is a useful option for plant buyers and day-out visitors in the Dorking, Leatherhead, and Reigate corridor. Check current opening hours before travelling.

Cranleigh

Notcutts Garden Centre in Cranleigh is a larger chain garden centre with a wide range of plants, garden furniture, accessories, and a café. It is the main full-service garden centre option for the south Surrey area between Guildford and the Sussex border. It is a stronger starting point for a dedicated garden centre visit in this part of Surrey.

Chessington

Chessington Garden Centre is located in Chessington on the north-east edge of Surrey, close to the A3 and the Kingston and Surbiton area. It is a full-service garden centre useful for families and plant buyers in Chessington, Tolworth, and the surrounding north-east Surrey and south-west London fringe. It is worth comparing if you are in this part of the county rather than travelling further into Surrey.

Practical Advice for Visiting This Area

These five listings are spread across a large area of Surrey and are not suited to a single-trip route. They are better understood as individual local options for each of their towns.

Woking and Badshot Lea (Farnham) are the strongest practical garden centre stops in the west of the county — both operate on the Squire’s full-service model and are useful for residents in Woking, Guildford, Farnham, and the surrounding towns. They are not close to each other, so choose based on your location.

Dorking and Cranleigh serve different parts of south Surrey. Hillier in Dorking is more accessible from the A24 and A25 corridor. Notcutts in Cranleigh is further south and is a larger centre useful for those in the Cranleigh, Godalming, and rural south Surrey area.

Chessington Garden Centre is the most northerly of this group and sits in a different part of the county. It is better suited to residents on the north-east Surrey and south-west London edge than as part of a Surrey-wide garden centre route.

Always check current opening hours directly with each centre before travelling.
